How to Stop Smoking with Laser Treatment

AUTHOR: Laura Barrett

Stop Smoking With Laser Treatment
Many people try to quit smoking each year and some are successful. Others are not, and the statistics still show that one in four men still smoke, as well as one in five women. Nonsmokers don’t really understand what a challenge it is to quit smoking for good.

In recent years, a new treatment has appeared in the United States: laser treatment. While this may not be effective for everyone who tries it, many people have been able to stop smoking with laser treatment. This is a popular method for smokers who have not been successful quitting using other ways. This method to stop smoking with laser treatment has been around for years, but it is only now being recognized by the general public here in the United States as an effective and reliable therapy. People in Canada and in Europe have had much success with this method for quite some time.

A low level laser therapy is used to stop smoking with laser treatment. This is also known as cold laser therapy, and it’s a modern form of acupuncture. What’s very appealing about this treatment is that it is completely painless and takes only about twenty minutes to be effective. It operates in a similar fashion to the way acupuncture does – but without the needles. People report that it’s actually a very relaxing, pleasant experience.

Another benefit when you stop smoking with laser treatment is that you aren’t adding any chemicals to your body like you do with other stop smoking methods, like the patch or prescription drugs.

The way that it works to stop smoking with laser treatment is that, using a cold laser, the technician targets various energy points in your body. Focusing the laser beam on these specific areas causes the release of natural chemicals called endorphins, which are known to have a calming, relaxing effect. The laser beams also help the body to detoxify the effects of nicotine in one’s system, so the whole withdrawal process is easier.

Things to consider

If you decide that you’d like to stop smoking with laser treatment, you’ll want to find a reputable professional who has been well-trained in this method. It’s also wise to check with your own doctor first to make sure he says it’s ok for you to stop smoking with laser treatment.

Shop around; not only do you want to find a trustworthy stop smoking clinic that provides laser treatment, but you want one that fits your budget too. Prices vary, and in general if you plan to stop smoking with laser treatment, it won’t be cheap. There’s a chance, though, that your health insurance will cover a portion of it, so be sure to check.
